Ealing Mayoral Civic Honours Award 2026

Earlier this year the Mayor of Ealing introduced a new award to be given to members of the borough who volunteer within the borough.

We are delighted to learnt that Jennifer Dudley, from Ealing Division was nominated by one of her Ranger’s parents. Five awards were presented during the ceremony, recognising different lengths of service in the borough. Jennifer’s award was for 40 years, one of the longest recognised that day. She was presented with a certificate and a brand new badge, specially created for the recipients.

Her citation read:
“On behalf of the London Borough of Ealing, The Mayor of Ealing, Cllr. Anthony Kelly awards you this certificate in recognition of your support for young people through the Girlguiding movement for over 40 years.”

The Mayor, Councillor Anthony Kelly remembered Jennifer from his visit to Galbraith around 18 months ago when he was Deputy Mayor. Each recipient was invited to say a few words about their volunteering. Jennifer spoke about her years in Guiding and the young people she has supported over the decades within her units.

A wonderful recognition of Jennifer’s enormous contribution to Girlguiding and to young people across Ealing over so many years. Many congratulations Jennifer!
