The Jack Petchey Achievement Award is more than just a certificate or a medal—it’s a celebration of resilience, contribution, and positive impact. The young people recognised this evening have each shown bravery in stepping up, compassion in supporting others, and creativity in shaping their Girlguiding experiences.
Whether they volunteered for extra responsibilities, offered steady leadership to younger girls, excelled in their personal development, or kept spirits high during challenging times, each award recipient demonstrated the values that make Girlguiding such a vibrant and empowering community.
The ceremony was filled with applause, cheers, and plenty of proud smiles from leaders, families, and friends. Award recipients had the chance to walk across the stage, accept their medals, and hear heartfelt words about the positive difference they’ve made. These moments of recognition remind us how powerful encouragement can be in shaping confidence and future aspirations.
A huge thank you goes out to the leaders, volunteers, and supporters who make the Jack Petchey programme possible within Girlguiding Middlesex West especially Carole who is the counties Jack Petchey co-ordinator. Your support helps young people discover the best in themselves and gives them the tools to thrive.
And, of course, congratulations to every Guide, Ranger, and Young Leader who received an award this year. Your achievements inspire everyone around you—and tonight’s celebration was a testament to your hard work and spirit.
Here’s to another year of leadership, adventure, and making a difference in Girlguiding Middlesex West!
